RE: The PaleoDiet (TM) delusion.
Great examples Diane. Id like to see a Paleo person make a sensually delightful meal out of that stuff.

When I was doing a paleo version of LC, I used to fry Fuji apple slices in butter and mix in almond meal and a bit of maple syrup. And then wonder why I was stalled.

lol, thought that was so funny, but yeh I also had a quick go at it, ended eating loads of organic dried dates after dinner, and also wondered why I wasn't losing <insert simpson smiley>

RE: The PaleoDiet (TM) delusion.
I was able to gain some weight doing paleo for athletes. Them sweet potatoes are damn good. One before training one after. Races coming up...
Next year will be all fat burning. I really hope that lactic acid thing is true- that there won't be that pain from the build up. I might actually get to be fast on my bike.
Really silly how I would live life with vlc and on the bike swallow some sugar gu.
Just threw all my powdered drinks away!
paleo seems to revolve around the salad. weird

RE: The PaleoDiet (TM) delusion.
I received a big link in my blog from another blog called Darwin's Table. He is doing a big weightloss experiment using the Paleo Diet, I believe, but he's been reading my blog so maybe he will get some clues for his own weight loss. He has pictures and all sorts of things there and evidently, he has a large readership. Anyway, check it out and let's talk about his plan.

Regards,

Charles

Yeah, I like him but he's so deluded. He eats "6 small nectarines" for a snack. He's always hungry. I tried to recruit his readership for here a few weeks ago but he thinks he knows what he's doing (due to his initial partial weight loss success)...

I read through it quickly and it was painful to read it, watching people doing the same mistakes over and over, then resorting to a 24 hour IFing to lose weight….am anti organized IFing with special eating windows and fasting windows, obviously I think we should eat when hungry and if not hungry just don’t eat, IMO such organized IFing would only lead to the old cycle of fast/binge… spine shiver!!

Thanks for the update. I didn't really have time to read it, I just saw the pictures and I saw something about Paleo.

Well, since he linked to me and put me on the blog roll, I have been having record page views on my blog so someone from there is reading my blog...

RE: The PaleoDiet (TM) delusion.
Funny, I had been reading darwin's table for a few weeks. Found him through conditioning research which is a great source for workout information and a lot to do with IF and Paleo. I saw some interesting articles about whales and animals but was kind of disgusted at his diet. He's eating tons of organ meats (which I eat on occasion and do enjoy) and simply huge portions. Of course carbs as well. which makes him hungry all the time and eat huge portions. (I shouldn't talk I just ate a hugh bowl of fatty ground beef and a bit of pemmican). Plus he's eating The paleo salad. He has some good articles on marrow that will make you hungry. what a source of fat! Now marrow... that's paleo.
He found the zeroing in blog and I had to smile to myself. Seemed like he had yet to find the forum.

RE: The PaleoDiet (TM) delusion.
Not many years ago scientist learned to analyze bones to find out what people ate. They found that Paleolithic man ate meat, nothing else shown.
I bet the fat didn't show in the bones, and anyway we know that if we don't eat fat we die of rabbit starvation.

So fat, meat and water is the only known and proven paleolithic diet.

There are almost as many versions of the paleo diet as there are people trying to do it; mostly the fruit and nut eaters do it because they are addicted and not because there is any evidence to support their habit.

The only part I'm not sure of is how much of it must be raw?
