RE: Beth Sch's Journal
Hey Ms. Marnee!

Not so much wt. as it was the darn TOM who decided to show up 2 weeks early;0 Man, as if...

I think I found one of your older post in someones journals about the enzyme asp or something like that and you seemed to have a lot of knowledge about the subject so I thought I'd ask! Thanks for the explanation.

RE: Beth Sch's Journal
Btw, Beth, a "troll" is someone who comes to an internet forum and starts making contrary or inflammatory statements, with really only the purpose of getting people worked up. The resulting back and forth, increasingly vehement "discussions" are called "flame wars", and the individual offensive posts are "flames". I think the term "troll" goes with "flames" because in certain fantasy realms trolls are most susceptible to fire. And everyone knows that before the 'net became public, the majority of people who used it were computer geeks who loved fantasy.

We've had our share!

Thanks Amber. I missed the memo on that one. lolol Who would waste their time doing such a thing? Weird. But, you know those people who realize it's something they SHOULD be doing but will argue and fault find till they talk themselves out of it! Ever know anyone like that? I sure have. Their NAUSIATING at best...

Thanks for the tutorial, Amber!

RE: Beth Sch's Journal
Hey Beth,

I forget that not all people are introverts like me. Lottsa peeps love to share and discuss and they aren't just out for a flame war. I like to share too, but I'm quite shy about it. I'm glad you messaged me, though. It made me think about some topics and concepts that I hadn't in a while and had never felt like I understood well enough or integrated well enough, so thanks!

Cheers.

RE: Beth Sch's Journal
Hello All!

I have sorta bad news! I went to the Dr. today as I have really bad hypothyriod! Anyway, my labs are all off. My Dr. thinks is due to not eating very many or rather ZC. He said hypo's have a hard time converting T4 to T3 in the absence of carbs. He's an advocate of Atkins without all the AS frankenfoods as he himself lost lost of wt. on Atkin's.

He wants me to eat around 20-25 Carbs a day for a month and see if things improve.

I totally trust this man as he saved my life when I was pregnant and gained 110 eating 1200 calories a day.

Nonetheless, I'm going to stay around and see how everyone else is doing. I have to trust my Dr. Like I said before, Atkin's is how I lost the majority of my wt. after my pregnancy! I was just so facinated with this WOL that I wanted to give it a try. Who knows, I may come back in a month if things don't improve. Maybe I just need to increase my meds. I'll check back in my journal soon.

Thanks so much for all your help, wisdom and friendship!

All my love,
BethSmile

RE: Beth Sch's Journal
hmm, I was diagnosed as hypo, went on synthoid. I went zc, eventually stopped the synthoid and now have perfect levels.

RE: Beth Sch's Journal
Hey Suzanne!

I'm on Armour as it's a bio identical hormone which my Dr. likes me to use. There is both T4 and T3 in it as Synthroid is only T4. I have a conversion problem where I can't conver much of the T4 into T3 and I can't take straight T3 as it makes my heart race! So, I need to listen and eat the minimal 20 or so Carbs a day to see if this is the problem. I'm hoping everything works out!

Thanks so much for all your help! I told my Dr. about this site and he wants to come and check it out!

Hugs,
Beth

RE: Beth Sch's Journal
Since our bodies were not designed to process ANY carbs, carbs CANNOT be the solution to any human problem. They are only the cause.

RE: Beth Sch's Journal
Beth, we need an update in this journal on your ZC. You have become a professional lurker and that is not acceptable on our forum anymore.

Charles
