I can't believe I waited so long to go to staples to print out the PDF. I'm glued to this thing. If you haven't read it, go to staples/kinkos and have them print out the PDF Charles has on this site, it's worth it.

Stefansson is an incredible writer.

I just found this bizarre article on Stefansson's Bellevue experiment. It's from Time magazine, March 31, 1930.

The conclusion of a critic was Stefansson was: ""The Stefansson test was not an all-meat diet, since only 20% was muscle fibre, or lean meat. The rest was animal fat. This Arctic diet had no more lean meat or protein than an ordinary diet. . . . Stefansson's experiment cannot have any great significance."

First, Stefansson is attacked because his diet will result in scurvy. When he proves his critics wrong, they turn around and say that his is just the typical American (non-native) diet. Stefansson was too far ahead of his time.

Thank you Margot, although that's wher I looked and initially couldn't find it. I also searched before I posted.

The book has an a.k.a. Not by Bread Alone.
Right, the whole title of the book is "The Fat of the Land:Not By Bread Alone." In the Foreword, he explains why this is so. The first book was indeed "The Fat of the Land" but he did a revision in 1946 that corrected and added many things. He addresses criticisms of the first book in our version.
Okay, so I'm completely technologically illiterate! How do I get the PDF to my nearest Kinkos. Do they have computers that let me to go to this site, get the pdf and print it. Seriously.. how do I survive in today's world without knowing how to use these kinds of things?!
Yes, put it on a zip drive or a CD and then take it there and ask them to print it for you.
okay thanks Charles!!
